I don't really follow/care about political news.
Probably not the best thing to admit as someone who went to school to be a social studies teacher, but I don't really care about politics. It just doesn't interest me, never really did, and with how things are going currently it usually is just negative stuff that is just gonna bum me out, I want to stay away from that. I am trying to be a more positive person. I don't want to know. If you don't know about it, it didn't happen. Like how you can't have an STD if you don't get tested. Everybody knows that. I like to live my life with that same logic. The only reason I even saw this is because I'm bored and checked youtube to see what was trending and the title of the video obviously caught my eye.
Let me tell you guys a little insider info about ole Dozo. Sometimes I get worried that I've lost my fastball when it comes to historical knowledge. Like being almost two years out of college sometimes I feel like I'm definitely not on my A game academically, like that I'm losing some of my intelligence. Then I heard this statement and it reassured me that I've still got it, at least a little.
Because right away I was like "this doesn't seem right", I knew something fishy was up. There's got to be a reason people are getting so upset about this.
Then I remembered that Hitler totally used chemical weapons.
Like kind of a lot, tbh. I'd even say Hitler was a "chemical weapons guy". They were reaaaally his thing. Like if OKCupid was around in 1940's war-torn Europe, on Hitler's profile where it says "6 things I can't live without" chemical weapons would totally be one of them. Right after invading countries and trying to be an artist. Dude fucking loved them.
So of course, I thought it was kind of odd that Sean Spicer, someone with I'd say a "decently important job" would probably have at least a 6th grade level knowledge of history. You'd think that right? Maybe he was sick that day in school or something? Then again what do I know? (Other than that Hitler definitely did use chemical weapons when he was kind of trying to eliminate a whole religion)
But hey, we all make mistakes right?
