Like most of my writing I did not re-read my Joe Kelly blog until after shitting post on weebly dot com. I had a down minute at work, so being the narcasist I am I used that time to absorb my own work. I gotta say I was blown away, not in the good way, like the toronado just picked up a cow and house (because that's how they're always portrayed on television and in the movies) way. I said to myself "wow dozo this has even more typos and lack of structure than usual".
I was gonna edit it, but decided to keep it as is for inspiration to suck less, and write more. Like my own remix of hotline bling. I guess if there's anything that can be learned (intentional poor grammar) from this ordeal it's that I will l now not use Penny Hardaway before writing. Point still remains that Joe Kelly is my favorite Red Sox pitcher of all time (if time started on April 11th, 2018). I'm gonna write about peeing sitting down next, get excited. Carry on my wayward son.

Joe Kelly's relationship with Red Sox fans and Red Sox twitter has been rocky. When a video of him dressed up as a reporter named "Jim Buchahan" serviced I personally was like, "what is this dork doing?" I know other fans weren't fans of his video at first.
Then once he got rocked and ruined a Chris Sale gem on Opening Day many were saying Kelly should've spent his time in Spring Training working on mechanics instead of follow-up questions.
It's hard to believe that after a as he so called it "pretty pathetic" Opening Day melt-down, that made Red Sox fans think oh no here's "same old" Joe Kelly.
That, that Joe Kelly has become an Boston sports legend, seemingly over night. I think other than the Red Sox pardon my cliche Red Hot start to 2018, this team's major story-line is that of I hate this term Red Sox Nation absolutely loves Joe Kelly. He went from a J.D. Drew to Trot Nixon in the eye's of fans quicker than it takes his now 101 with movement gas gets to home plate. Giving up 4 Ernie Johnson's in his first appearance of 2018 was not exactly what Joe Kelly or Red Sox fans wanted to see to open his season. Kelly has since rebounded; he hasn't allowed a member of the opposition to touch home plate once. Talking no earned runs.
His personality started to shine
After fighting Yankee C Tyler Austin on April 11th Kelly joined the weirdly beloved average baseball player territory on the Sox. Although tbh Joe Kelly has been much better the last two seasons, and over the last few weeks due to his twitter feed, and day games from the Bleachers has becoming a beloved "our guy" in almost unseen famous since Mark Bellhorn in October of 2004. I've been along the Joe Kelly wave.
I LOVE THIS MAN.
That brew-ha-ha landed Joe Kelly a 6 (SIX) game suspension. Some are saying it's unfair, in which I'd agree. Joseph Kelly Jr was none too pleased.
At a Bruins game a few days later, with most of the rest of the team, Kelly went to a Bruins game. When shown on the jumbo-tron he received a reaction on reserved for the likes of a Tom Brady after just winning the Super Bowl.
Today in interviews before the game Red Sox slugger J.D. Martinez was seen wearing a "Joe Kelly Fight Club" t-shirt. The cult of Joe Kelly is only expanding.
On today's episode of Section 10 Joe Kelly gave a pretty raw, unfiltered interview with the Section 10 guys (mainly just Carrabis) Kelly gave some fascinating insight about himself. Like how he doesn't pay attention to the division standings this early in the year, and proved it by not knowing how large the Red Sox (ever evaporating) lead on the Yankees is in the AL East. His memories of the 2013 World Series,,, as a member (who actually had v solid start) of the Cardinals. How much he's willing to fight for himself. He showed up in-person for his appeal hearing; something rarely seen in today's MLB. How he's fucking crazy. But seriously, this isn't an an for Section 10. Honestly as a barstool and Red Sox fan I listen, but I think at times they think they're a little funnier than they actually are, and episodes can rival the length's of Lord of the Rings movies. I gotta say this is the best interview they've ever done, and they have more than a few handful of good interviews really just peals back the onion layers that are Joe Kelly and how cool of a dude he actually his. He spent his suspension in the Bleachers (among other locations) at Fenway.
I've been all in on Joe Kelly in 2018 and so should you.
Oh look, it's spreading inside the clubhouse, look at that handsome mf-er J.D. Martinez!!
Oh and did I mention how good he's been in 2018?
He's the type of guy I want on the mound up 1 in the 8th of an ALCS game with 2 on and 2 out. I trust Joe Kelly with my life. I love Joe Kelly.
It's a special SOD today, wo(man) [new short hand way to make everybody happy] woo-hoo! For those unaware, Today is May 8th. or in simple-number terms (in American dates) "5/8" which, of course in football talk form creates be the two digits that made up my hs football number. 58. A number that like it or not, will follow me as part of what defines me until the day am I no longer dozo (talking dead folks, but not for a whiiile) will be always a piece of me. It's also the anniversary of my final day of college, where that photo {off a friend's zombie twitter} was taken years ago today. Since high school it's been jokingly my "adopted birthday" of the dozah persona, and since I haven't written in a while, and felt like switching things up here is your run of the mill song of the day that just happens to come up on a fake day that I am trying become an official day thing. So thank you for learning about Dozah Day. Obviously Dozo Day or any other acceptable "Doz" remix are acceptable nicknames. See ya next year! (and every other time you enjoy my delicious nectar that drips off every key-tap of my written (typed) words. Song: Hunger Artist: Florence + The Machine Album: High As Hope |
