The NBA Finals start tonight, Golden State vs. Cleveland in a rematch of last year's Finals. This time the Cavs have a healthy Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love. The first rematch in the Finals since Bulls vs. Jazz in 1997 and 1998.
After a hard fought comeback against the Oklahoma City Thunder the defending champion Warriors are back in the Finals for a 2nd straight year. Last year they were the media darings, and to a point they still are, but they have also started to gain haters online as that tends to happen to teams with sustained success. The Cavs have been kind of a quite just because the Eastern Conference playoffs have been terrible and they basically had a bye to the Finals. Lebron is playing in his 6th straight Finals, 2nd straight with the Cavs. He has 2 rings with Miami but is 0-2 so far in Cleveland. You could argue that he carried both of those teams to the Finals, but 0-2 is still 0-2. Enough of this boring intro shit. Let's get to the series. What I'm gonna do is predict the series game by game. Here we go. Game 1: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors. Tonight June 2nd. I like the Cavs to steal game 1 in Oakland. Warriors just played 3 tough must win games in a row. I have a feeling the Cavs come out hot tonight and take game one from the Warriors. Lebron has a Lebron night, everybody sucks his dick. It sucks but we all know there will be at least one game like that this series. Cavs win 103-98. Cavs lead 1-0. Game 2: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors. Sunday June 5th. Warriors fight back win big (10+) over the Cavs. Steph and Klay have a classic splash brothers game. Warriors win 113-96 Series tied 1-1. Game 3: Golden State Warriors @ Cleveland Cavaliers. Wednesday June 8th. Cavs go back home to the Q in front of the home fans. I think this is the game where a rando steps up a has a huge night. This is your Leon Powe night from 2008 or Delly from last year. I think Channing Frye drops like 24 and the Cavs win to go up 2-1. Cavs win 106-102 Cavs lead 2-1. Game 4: Golden State Warriors @ Cleveland Cavaliers. Friday June 10th. Warriors bounce back again. Steph is Steph. This is boring but how I see it going. Warriors win a close one to steal back home court 101-99 Series tied 2-2. Game 5: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors. Monday June 13th. Warriors go home, go up 3-2 just like last year. Lebron has an awful game by his standards. Critics come out. This is the night where Steph and Klay each score 30+ Warriors win 121-104 Warriors up 3-2. Game 6: Golden State Warriors @ Cleveland Cavaliers. Thursday June 16th. Lebron goes home after a big lose in game 5. Another big Lebron night. Something like 39-13-11. Cavs win big to force a game 7, something they were unable to do last year. Cavs win 111-97 Series tied 3-3. Game 7: Cleveland Cavaliers @ Golden State Warriors. Sunday June 19th. Yep, like most people I see this series going 7. Two great teams matched up, I think as I said each finds a way to win 1 on the road. Only way they series goes less than 7 is if Cleveland wins in 6 at home or Warriors in 5. I don't see that happening. It's game 7, it's the 73-9 Warriors going for the best season ever vs. Lebron going for Cleveland's first championship since 1964. I hate Lebron, but do feel bad for Cleveland and would be okay with the Cavs winning just for that shitty city to have something. But I don't see it happening, there's no way this team loses a game 7 at home. NBA won't let that happen. Warriors win 111-105 Warriors win NBA Finals 4-3. Steph Curry MVP. Boring ass pick but that's usually how the NBA goes, best player on champ is MVP. Iggy winning last year was the exception to the rule. Now I'm probably gonna be wicked off but that's my guess. I have been perfect before. NBD but KBD 2008 World Series I said Phillies in 5 and the one game they lose is game 2 in Tampa. That's exactly what happened. Just sucks I don't have evidence to prove it, but I said it, just gotta take my word for it. Basically the best predictor ever.
