What a move by a first class organization. I love it so much that I'm blogging it on a Sunday...The Lord's/Tom Brady's Day. But what a great fuck you move by the Patriots right to the league. Just to let the NFL know, you may take Brady away from the field, but you can't take him away from the Patriots. Tom Brady IS the Patriots. Without him we're just another bum ass team in a big market with no super bowls, like the Bengals or Eagles. But I love having the homage to Tommy here. It's like he's looking down on them and just letting them know, don't worry daddy will be home soon. My only question is can we have his eyes move? Like the paintings in movies that have real eyes and watch you. Have him start really creeping out opponents. Maybe distract a kicker or something, idk wouldn't hurt to try and see what happens.
Love the support here, wish Kraft showed a little more of it a year ago and fought this harder but, oh well. We lost two draft picks, a million bucks and 4 games of TB12 for potentially taking a little bit of air out of the balls. Seems like a fair punishment. Can't do anything now except with the Super Bowl (again) and shove it right down that rat bastard Goodall's throat. Roger Goodell is top 5 worst people on earth and that includes terrorists and Rob Levine.
As for the Patriots on the field for the first 4 weeks, I have no idea what to expect. Still terrified about the offensive line situation. Gotta be able to give the QB time, and actually be able to run the ball. Look I love when Brady throws it 40 times a game but we have to be able to run the ball at least a little. IMO it's what cost them in Denver last year and also down the stretch in the regular season. The fact the Pats started 10-0 and went 12-4 is kind of embarrassing. Gotta be able to run the ball down teams throats late, do not wanna be throwing the ball to run out the clock like they did against Kansas City in the playoffs, it almost cost them.
I haven't seen a ton of pre season action because it's summer and I'm out on Thursdays but this defense is LEGIT. IMO best since 2003. Hightower and Collins are gonna take the league by storm. Should be able to stop all 3 teams we play at Gillette and just hope that Jimmy can score enough points. I think Pats lose in Arizona then win their 3 home games. If they go 2-2 it's not the end of the world either. As long as they don't go 0-4 I think we'll be alright, and tbh we could start 0-4 and still make the playoffs with TB12. I almost kind of want to start 0-4 then have Brady save the day and lead us to ring #5.
