I don't know if you've been paying attention, but countless red/southern/fascist states have been banning books, attacking LGBTQ+ rights, and attempting to dismantle public education this year. It's fucking terrifying. There's a reason they're trying to outlaw history and keep the general public as ignorant as possible. I've made references to these horrors in other blogs and covered some in others. I want to dive deeper into these topics on DOL. They just make me so fucking upset that it brings me to the verge of the early checkout, and since I've been making some significant improvements in my life, I'd like to avoid that at all costs. I don't want to have my head in the sand, but sometimes for my own mental health I have to look away. That solves nothing and is why I'm least putting a couple paragraphs together right now.
Please watch this video, then explain why all this regressive, discriminatory legislation is sooooo important. Why focus on creating jobs and opportunities when we can bully trans kids and drag queens? Who cares about affordable housing, fair wages, and clean air when we can criminalize freedom of expression and art? Why stop gun violence when you can kill trans people? Party of limited government my fucking ass. They want to eradicate LGBTQ+ people. That is not hyperbole.

Tennessee ranks 36th in child well-being and THIS is what they're making their biggest priority. What a fucking disgrace.
I don't care who I offend, piss off, or lose the support from. If you support these hateful laws, you are a piece of human garbage. Between January 6th (and the lack of accountability), voting restrictions, the shit I've already mentioned, and so much more that I don't have the mental strength to dive into rn, this country is in one hell of a democratic backslide. I believe in God, but I fucking hate the religious right. They're no different than the Taliban. Believe whatever the fuck you want, but you have no right to force your beliefs on others. They're the real indoctrinators. They don't know the first fucking thing about what it means to live a Christ-like life. It's love thy neighbor, not destroy them. It breaks my heart that people I love support this garbage, but I hope one day they wake the fuck up and see the error of their ways. P.S. I stand with the trans community, and I'm putting my money where my mouth is. I love trans people. I've been jerking off to your hottest women since Bush was in the White House. You are valid and human, just like everybody else. I don't understand it all, but that isn't my fucking job or responsibility. I had this take when I was a teen about gay people, and it's the same for trans ones. Why would anybody willingly pick this, given how they're treated? They wouldn't. You are born gay. You are born trans. It's not a fucking choice. There are centuries of evidence supporting that, but some people try to erase that history. I am so fucking sorry these bigots want to strip you of everything. They will not win. It's always darkest before dawn. In an act of protest/wanting to do it for years, Ole Dozo will be debuting the Rhonda Sandtits persona sometime in 2023.
