Snapchat has added some new features, including Groups, a new group chat that lets up to 16 friends share conversation and media. Group chats self-delete after 24 hours be fault, and Snaps sent within a group can be opened only once, and replayed only once, by each member of the group, just like a regular Snap. The new Group feature also includes an easy way to pop out to individual chat with anyone within the Group, letting you tap on any member’s name when they’re active in a chat and jump into a one-on-one conversation. All features supported in Chat are supported in Groups, including stickers, vote and video notes, Bitmoji and more. Snapchat is also introducing new creative tools for use composing your Snaps. There are Scissors that let you snip out part of a Snap and make it into its own sticker, which will then be available in the sticker drawer. This is launching on iOS first, with an Android version coming later Also new is the addition of Paintbrush, a feature that you can use on any Snaps you have in memories, which works similar to how artistic filter apps like Prisma work. Also new is Shazam support built right into the Snapchat camera, which lets you identify music playing right within the app. Finally snapchat gave the people what they wanted and introduced group chats for snapchat. Now you can share "media" between you and up to 15 friends. Pretty cool stuff, you read the italized shit, I don't need to recap all of that. As the guy who's usually the butt of every joke in the group chat, or the one getting roasted by a dozen different people I hate this move because it just gives my friends another avenue to do so. But at the same as the guy who's usually the butt of every joke in the group chat, or the one getting roasted by a dozen different people I'm a huge fan of this new platform. Before in your run of the mill imessage groupchat that stuff would be there forever for everybody to go back to make fun of. "Oh look I can scroll back 3 weeks and bring up something to make fun of Doz" - everybody I know. Well now you can't mofo. That's right those days are over (sorta). With snapchat group chats it will "disappear" after viewing. Sure, I suppose someone can screenshot, but at least you know who is the one screen shotting. Just trying to be positive. This basically is like snapchat DM just with all of your friends. And like snapchat DMs it can disappear so if you can something stupid, it potentially can be gone forever. Big fan of that. That's why I love using it when talking to chicks because I don't have to relive the hot awkward mess that is me trying to talk to girls. Nobody wants to read that twice. Sure once in a while there will be a good message that I wish I could remember seeing, but for every one of those there's about 15 that are better left deleted directly after viewing.

If I'm not mistaken, wasn't there a group chat for Snapchat way before? I don't really remember anymore, because it's been quite some time since I've used Snapchat. It's a really cool application, because you're able to record your daily moments without saving them in a database. Some people said back then that Snapchat was going to overtake Instagram in the future. I would definitely agree with the assumptions, because Snapchat seems to have a long way to go in the popularity polls.
