After a rough couple of years away from school Johnny Manziel is returning to A&M as a student this fall. I'm actually going to commend him making a smart decision in the public eye. Maybe for the first time in 3 years there is good Johnny Manziel news.
On the surface it at least appears he's trying to better himself.
While this probably just a ploy to try to get a second chance there's no doubting that right now this is great call. There's no denying Johnny Football has had his fair share of trouble this year but everybody knows going back to school is a fresh start. He's just hitting the reset button, guys. Sure Johnny Football partied his way out of the NFL, and didn't study his plays or work hard but it's a new semester, a do over. It's the ultimate "you can't say I'm not trying" move.
It is absolutely insane to me that this is happening in 2016. Just 4 years after breaking onto the scene after the upset win against Alabama. It looked like Johnny Manziel was going to be a special talent for a long time. It's crazy to me, JFB was such a star at Texas A&M that he had to take his classes online, now he's just some bum from Cleveland who's going to school in Texas. I never thought JFB would be Tom Brady or Peyton Manning but I didn't expect him to be out of the NFL and back in school this quick.
On the surface it's brilliant plan to show the NFL you're taking your life seriously at least trying to do something instead of cocaine. Now the only question is does some team take the bait and sign Johnny Manziel? If Dak Prescott starts 0-3 in Dallas and Romo is still out 2 more months, do not be surprised to see Johnny with a star on his helmet.
