The one thing Amazon Prime Video could always claim they that had over Netflix (other than the series "Catastrophe") was that they allowed you to download videos onto your device to watch in areas where you don't have service/wifi.
Well after today that is no longer the case, as you can now download videos from Netflix to view whenever you want. Basically flipping the commute game for people who use public transportation on it's head. Now you can watch your favorite Netflix original shows on a subway which I guess to people who have real lives and real jobs is pretty cool. Wouldn't know but it's my job to let you know. What I'm souped about is how you can download some episodes of your favorite show for the flight. I hate flying more than anything in this world, it scares the shit out of me, it's uncomfortable. Not in the sense of not being able to fit in seats, because I can now, but sitting in between two strangers for 4 hours is not exactly an ideal situation. So anything to make flying better I'm all in for. No more buying the $9 wifi from Southwest only to learn that the wifi isn't strong enough to use Netflix. That would drive me insane like if they can have wifi that works at stadiums of like 70,000+ people I think you guys could've figured out a way for me to watch The Office at 30,000 feet. I'm not asking a lot from you guys, yes I know bags fly free but they should anyway... you're not as amazing as you think you are. As of now you cannot download everything available on Netflix to your device but I'm 100% sure all Netflix original programming can be downloaded. As for everything else you're gonna have to check for yourself because reading 3 tweets is all the research I am doing for this blog.
