One of my all time favorite athletes; 39 year old Paul Pierce tried to slam one home last night against one of his former teams...the Brooklyn Nets. Unlike thousands of dunks before, it did not go smoothly. The former Jayhawk fell harder than me after a few pitchers on Thanksgiving eve.
I doubt Paul has Life Alert, but he does have teammate Chris Paul to help bring him back to life.
We know Paul (Pierce) is tough SOB. Dude got stabbed 11 times and went on to have a Hall of Fame career. Not too many people can say that. That being said he got stabbed in 2000 at like 22 years old. I feel like falling after a failed dunk in an NBA game could be just as deadly at 39. When you're young you can take a beating. Luckily CP3 was there to save the day for the Truth. Not a huge Chris Paul guy but considering the sense of humor of most athletes; this was actually a pretty funny moment. Still sucks to see Paul Pierce finishing his career in any uniform that isn't the Celtics but I'm glad to see he's having some fun out in LA. Hopefully next time he just lays it up, never forget lay-ups are two points as well.
