Today is Kevin Garnett's 40th birthday. What better way to celebrate the Big Ticket turning the big 4-0 than giving him some love on DOL?
When the Celtics traded for KG in 2007 it changed the culture of the team. They went from a 24 win team to NBA Champs in one season. The 07-08 Celtics were a ton a fun to watch. I loved when KG would goal tend after the whistle shots to get in the head of opponents. What sucks is the 08-09 Celtics were even better than the champs but when KG got hurt against the Jazz it ruined their championship hopes. The Celtics new Big 3 Run from 07-12 was awesome and created a lot of great memories for Celtics fans but none were better KG's on court interview right after winning the 2008 NBA Championship. That is this week's sports #tbt of the week. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE!!!!!!! P.S. There's been a lot of talk of whether or not KG's number should get retired by the Celtics. I think it's a no brainer, Celtics already have the most retired numbers in sports, whats one more? Even though it was only for 6 seasons, he was great for like 4.5 of them. Without him the Celtics still are looking for their first championship since 1986 and no Ray Allen does not deserve his number retired.
