Spotify Reveals Most Streamed Artists of 2016

Spotify revealed it's most streamed artists of the year today and for the 2nd year in a row Drake is the websites' most streamed artist. Makes sense, Views was absolutely huge. Drizzy despite all the shit I've given him over the years is the man. Just puts out hit after hit. Still hilarious to me though how multiple times over the year he's claimed he "came from nothing" and "started from the bottom" yet he's been famous since he was like 12 years old. Yeah you know what Peyton Manning came from nothing too. Personally, I'm an apple music guy but heres the rest of the most listened to music on Spotify:

Other than the new artist that I've never heard of the list makes a lot of sense. I felt like I was 73 years old when I read that part though. Who the hell is Rob $tone?  Other there than Zayn (who I only know because he was in One Direction) literally no idea who those other artists are, I don't even think I could pronounce their names. 

Chill Thrills is a not-so guilty pleasure of mine, it bangs. Although if we're being honest, I like the Sean Paul version way better. Makes me feel like I'm 11 again just hearing him hype up someone else's song. 

My biggest and most glaring complaint is how 21 Pilots were the 4th most streamed artist in all of music this year.  21 Pilots may be least favorite band of all time. I can give you 20 bands off the top of my head right now that are better. That's what makes me so angry, why them? What makes them so popular because I sure as hell don't get it. Is it really all because they're in the Suicide Squad soundtrack? They're the 4th most popular act IN THE COUNTRY! HOW??? If I hear "Heathens" one more time I swear I'm going to drive my car off a bridge. I'm almost mad at the more popular genres for not being able to beat them out. Like really Arianna you can't beat out 21 fucking Pilots? 

Other than that not too much to report, thought it was interesting to see what was most popular in 2016. S/O Mozart for still holding down classical music despite being dead for 225 years.
