I knew the wind would be a factor tonight, but not such a factor that the Pats would end up throwing the ball three (3) whole times. Straight up Rhode Island Division IV numbies tonight, but it doesn't matter. It got the job done. Credit the Bills for playing nickel all night. As a former AFC East coach once said, "you play to win the game," and winning is something that a current AFC East coach, Bill Belichick, has done plenty against these Buffalo Bills, 36 times to be exact (good for 12.46% of his 289 regular-season wins).
Sure, they swept us during the Covid year, after we lost the greatest player in the history of the game; congratulations. Now we've got a gunslinger in Mac Jones absolutely slashing the Bills to the tune of 2/3 for 19 yards, and the Bills are back to being the Bills. Maybe if Josh Allen spent more time making plays instead of begging for flags, things would've been different? I'm not sure they even score if it wasn't for N'Keal Harry shaving points. There's still plenty of season left, but 9-4 is 9-4, which currently gives the Patriots the AFC's #1 seed. Next comes a much-needed bye week, then Indy on SATURDAY, December 18th. Hopefully, Adrian Phillips didn't tear his ACL. In technically 19 days, these teams play again, and there's a solid chance it could be a hat and t-shirt game for our Patriots. I'll be in the house with my old man. The AFC East still goes through Foxboro and will for the foreseeable future. Man, I'm such a pussy for only putting 2U on Pats ML (+130). Should've believed in myself.
