Tom Brady at the last minute backed out of the Patriots White House trip. However do not let horribly misleading, clickbait titles of posts like this fool you: Unreal to link the two together there. Hernandez and Brady haven't been teammates for four full seasons. Makes it seem like Brady is so shook up from Hernandez that he pulled out of the White House visit because of it. When in reality I bet deep down I bet Brady hates Hernandez' guts. I wouldn't be shocked if he was happy about it. We've seen how quickly Brady will totally write off a receiver and lose faith after a single drop. Pretty much shun them off the team. It's why guys like Aaron Dobson didn't make it. I'd imagine losing one of your most trusted targets to a murder conviction would probably warrant some hate. I bet Brady's first thought was "good riddance". But in all seriousness, this move seems like it's all about his mother, Galynn who has been battling "illness". I don't know why they keep calling it "illness" instead of cancer, kind of weird IMO. It's obviously cancer. Bandana was a dead giveaway. I get the privacy thing, but I feel like that makes it a bigger deal than just being truthful. By leaving it open ended I feel like that does more harm than good, leaves people wanting to know more, and possibly going to great lengths to find out. Idk, I obviously support TB12 no matter what, just seems very odd to me. Regardless, it just sucks that Brady isn't going to be there because I'm sure the Brady/Trump haters on social media will have a field day making shitty jokes. Especially when it's seemingly about his mom. Most people can agree that is off limits. However given the Brady-Trump relationship something pretty serious must've happened with her to stop Tommy from going. Only 34 of a possible 53 players are in attendance. I feel like that is a crazy low number. Bad look for Donald (even if it truly is because of his mom) to have the one guy who seemingly supported him not be able to make it. With how shit is going politically, I wouldn't be shocked if the tradition of champions visiting the White House dying. Like how many guys on the Cavs or Warriors do you think would show up? Over/under 2.5 I'm just bummed we're gonna get robbed of another opportunity for a snapshot like this one
Idk why but this picture always make me chuckle. I think it's just from how they're standing and the weird hand placement by Brady. Just looks so awkward. Luckily Trump always makes time for golf so I'm sure they'll be able to hit the links a few times this summer and get another pic.
P.S. Absolutely love how Brady knows he'll be back on the South Lawn Soon. He's right! The only question is how many more times? Again I'll set the over/under at 2.5.
