With the Red Sox playing Game 2 of the ALCS and the Patriots hosting the undefeated Chiefs on SNF it was huge sports night in New England.
The Patriots showed the NFL the road to the Super Bowl in the AFC still goes through Foxboro in a 43-40 win over Kansas City. Lots of good and bad things to take away from the game, but I'm not really trying to get into the X's and O's, especially since the Pats were on TV #2 most of the night, so I wasn't paying as close attention until the Sox ended. I did see this play live though and it fired me up. After seeing their lead slip away Brady took things into his own hands...or should I say FEET? (Because he rushed for a touchdown instead of passing, get it!?!?)
There's nothing I love like seeing the gazelle get a head full of steam and get those crazy legs going. It never gets old, thank you for not eating nightshades, Tom. Yes, we also refer to the goat as the Clydesdale as well, that too is acceptable, lots of animals are allowed when referring to TB12. The will to win in this man gets my blood pumping. He's more inspiring than any Dr. Ford that's for sure. Brady will run when he has to and is a lot better at than people give him credit for. Heart of Lion like Kid Cudi.
Shades of his run against the Ravens in the 2014 Divisional Round. 3rd and goal down 14 Brady risked it all to get in the end zone. Football is an emotional ass game, IMO the most of the major sports. Dude's are literally putting their life on the line every play, and while we've seen Tommy get fired up on some runs before. Rarely have we seen him go through dudes to get into the end zone.
It'd be nice to see Develin fight for the extra yard like that.
This man is 41 years old...pump faked, broke a tackle, hezied to the goal line, then looked like Mike Alscott trucking two (2) Kansas City "defenders" to retake the lead. I get it people hate Brady because he wins all the time, has a perfect life, all the money in the world, is incredibly healthy, and has re-branded the word Goat entirely, but just look at the fire and desire this man still has after absolutely dominating the NFL since the world was reeling from a national tragedy. He's the best to ever play, and could've retired two years ago and that would still be the case, but he is still hungry (probably because he only eats lettuce and avocados) for more. Runs like that make me think he really will play to 45. His favorite ring is the next one. Never satisfied. The guy still can clearly ball out. Played one of the best 1 passing TD games of his night last night. No punts. The TD pass to Jules was perfectly lobbed. It reminded me a lot of the James White one earlier this year. Oh and Kansas City you think you're the new class of the AFC? Come into Foxboro and win a game that matters one time, and then maybe we'll start talking. I actually have a lot of love and respect for that organization, buy man talk about same old Chiefs. They'll end up 11-5 and losing their first playoff game like always. Obviously this team still has a long fucking way to go, but with a lot of season left, there is time to get everybody acclimated to this offense. Hopefully the defense won't give up 31 points in a half again, but to the Chiefs credit they have an incredibly dynamic offense with three of the top probably 10 play-makers in the NFL with Mahomes, Tyreek Hill and Hunt. BTW if you still think Kelce is better than Gronk, get your head examined this very second because there is a chance your head is looking like a Jack-o-lantern...hallow. Oh yeah, we're getting topical.
I'd say 30% chance he see 300.
LONG LIVE THE KING
