I think you'll have to watch this video on the NFL youtube page because they suck and don't let you play from blogs but whatever. Yesterday's Patriots 49ers game was an ugly one. The Pats would go on to win 30-17 but it was a very close game for the first three quarters. Although the Pats ended up breaking away in the 4th quarter thanks to two touchdown passes by Tom Brady, before this play the game was still very much up in the air as the Patriots were only up by 3 thanks to another missed extra point by Stephen Gostowski. First play of the 4th quarter on 2nd and goal Brady dropped back and was nearly sacked. However at 39 years old crazy legs Brady is more mobile and agile than ever and found a way to escape the pressure to float a touchdown pass to Danny Amendola. Brady was running wild yesterday and even picked up first down or two on his feet. When TB12 released it I can't lie I thought it was going to be an interception. He was falling back almost fading away like a shooting guard on that pass. Reminded me a lot of the first pick he threw in the Red Zone in SB 49. Definitely not the most textbook touchdown, but it doesn't matter. 6 points is 6 points. While the pass wasn't beautiful, the ability to escape a potential sack and still find an open receiver in the end zone was. Should've known I had nothing to worry about as the 17 year pro knows how to score in the red zone (except last week to end the game against the Seahawks) Even though it was a sloppy, ugly game in a rainy Levi-Stadium Brady was still Brady 4 touchdowns, no picks and a nice bounce back win against a horrible team after a tough loss at home to Seattle. Still very worried that this defense may be the worst I've seen by a Patriots team since I was in high school. Patriots are now 8-2 and face off against the lowly 3-7 Jets in Jersey next week.
