I know this story is a few days old but I've been pretty busy/tired/pissed off and don't feel like writing because it seems like I'll never get where I want to but I really need to vent about this whole Cassius Marsh situation.

Former Patriots defensive end Cassius Marsh took some heat from New England fans when he said he’s glad to be with the 49ers because the Patriots don’t have any fun. But unlike some athletes whose words get them in trouble, Marsh isn’t claiming he was taken out of context or misunderstood.
Marsh released a video in which he doubled down on those comments about the Patriots, saying that if New England fans don’t like what he had to say, that’s their problem. “I just want to address all you Patriots fans who don’t like this new article. I’m sorry to hurt your feelings. Seems to be breaking your heart. But if you can’t handle the truth, stay off my page. Don’t read articles. That’s how I felt. That’s how I still feel and I’m grateful to be away from there, grateful to be where I’m at.” It’s to Marsh’s credit that he’s not trying to weasel out of his previous comments. Even if, given that Marsh lasted only a couple months in New England before the Patriots cut him, it appears that the Patriots didn’t think much of him, either.
What planet am I on?
I know me writing this blog kind of disproves what I'm about to say, but nobody gives a fuck about what you thought about New England. No fans cares about whether or not you had "fun" during your brief stint in New England. You are more irrelevant the a floppy disk case.
The only reason Patriot fans knew who you were is because they all were shocked to find out they traded two (2) draft picks for a guy with three (3) career sacks. You don't forget the names of the horrible decisions. That's why Patriot fans will never forget Ras'I Dawling or Tavon Wilson. You sir, and your horrible sleeve tattoos were a horrible decision for the Patriots.
Patriot fans care about one thing: winning the Super Bowl. That's it. Okay maybe whatever Tom Brady is doing on instagram but that's it. It's Super Bowl or bust. They just went 13-3 and lost the Super Bowl and it was viewed as a failure. We're spoiled douche bags who expect nothing but Super Bowls and if you can't help us get one you are worthless. Maybe if you weren't some bum ass scrub and could've actually produced on the football field you could've stuck around and help win a ring? But believe me I couldn't care less about how much fun you did or didn't have. I don't need to know how the sausage is made. Super Bowl rings are made with blood diamonds. Just don't show me South Africans getting their hands chopped off. Idc how hard things were or how much fun you didn't have. Nobody feels bad for you. It's fucking professional football, not subbing at your old high school. Plus you're just adding fuel to you're a "I'm a loser fire." Idk about you guys, but to me, winning is pretty fun, and the Patriots did that 9 times while you were on the roster. You just sound like a bitch complaining because they weren't playing you. You're the guy who cares more about their personal stat line than winning. I guarantee you this guy would rather have a 10 sack season than a Super Bowl ring. The most fun season of my glorious high school career was my junior year when we won and made the playoffs. Newsflash Cassius, maybe if you were a better football player you would've had more fun! The NFL is a business. Business is all about competition. You probably weren't having fun because you were behind guys like Deatrich Wise, Jr. and Lawrence Guy on the depth chart? Here's another excerpt of Marsh's interview with the San Francisco Chronicle via: www.sfchronicle.com/49ers/article/49ers-defensive-end-Cassius-Marsh-feels-12946701.php
In New England, Marsh, a classic speed rusher, said he was miscast as a “coverage” linebacker. And he became so disenchanted with his role and the Patriots’ culture that he “wanted to get waived” when he requested a meeting with head coach Bill Belichick that precipitated his exit.
“They asked me to do a bunch of stuff that I had never done: covering running backs and receivers and basically almost never rushing the passer, which is what I did in playing defensive line,” Marsh said. “They don’t have fun there. There’s nothing fun about it. There’s nothing happy about it. I didn’t enjoy any of my time there, you know what I’m saying? It made me for the first time in my life think about not playing football because I hated it that much.”
I love how he tried to spin it like he "tried to get cut". In a way I guess maybe he kinda did? Because if what he said about "confronting" Belichick is true then what he did was basically the football version of suicide by cop. Bum ass D ends with a handful of sacks don't last long after confronting the greatest coach of all time.
Thanks for all the help Cassius!
You can tell just by looking at this dude that he's the kind of guy who would definitely scream at his girlfriend in a public setting.
Former Patriots who actually accomplished things here said it best. Winning is fun. They had fun. As a man who's spent a Malcolm Gladwell-ian amount of time watching Patriots games, highlights, interviews, documentaries etc., I know they had fun. They might've hated Bill at times, and not had fun on certain days, but I bet if you ask any Patriot worth mentioning about their time in New England they'll say how much they loved it.
At the end of the day this guy is a fucking loser who does not matter in the football lexicon. I'm done wasted my time blogging about him. He shouldn't have had fun here because he was a terrible football player. I don't have fun when I try to put the fitted sheet on my bed because I'm terrible at that. It all makes sense.
