In their latest marketing campaign Budweiser cans and bottles will simply say "America" this summer. In an Olympic and Election year Patriotism will be at an all time high. (Unless you are a Bernie Sanders supporter, because he hates America) Budweiser is looking to capitalize on this.
I think this is kinda a try hard move, but I don't really have an issue with it because when I think America and Beer, Bud Heavy is the first that comes to mind. Even though Anheuser-Busch was purchased by a Belgium company I don't really have an issue with it. There's literally millions of more important things to worry about. But it wouldn't be 2016 if there wasn't outrage over something as stupid as beer advertising campaign. The complaints on twitter are already coming in. These tweets perfectly bash the loser beer snobs and people who actually get offended by this.
I'm not gonna give all the haters shine on my blog but a ton of craft beer losers are all making the same jokes "America tastes like piss" "America isn't real beer" that kind of shit. I made a blog about it before that beer hipster/hardos are my least favorite people on earth. Bud is like the most popular beer in the country, millions of people like it, who the hell are you to say it isn't "real beer"?
Just because you wanna look "cool" and drink dirty bath water doesn't mean Budweiser is a fine product. It's beer. Just drink it and shut the fuck up. Actually I will share some of these tweets just to show how stupid the general public is and how much I hate people.
Sooooo many people making the same shitty jokes thinking they're hilarious. That is what I HATE about America, the shitty idiots. If you think you're better than Budweiser you can leave! What Budweiser is doing this is kinda cool and will be awesome for 4th of July. At the end of the day it doesn't matter it's just beer. So grab a beer, sit down, and shut up.

Song of the Day is "Snap Out of It" by Arctic Monkeys. Comes off of their 2013 masterpiece AM, wicked good album, one of the kind of albums you can listen to without skipping a single track. Awesome band. Song of the Day May 9th is actually a "new" (ish) song! When I first heard S.O.B. by Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats sometime last summer I really enjoyed it. Then I got kind of sick of it because that's the radio's job..make you like/love a song, then play it so much that you hate it, I think that's been the formula with radio for about 108 years now. Anyways this weekend apple music suggested I listen to their whole album and I guess I was feeling a little daring this weekend and did give it a listen. Boy did I make a great decision. Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats have that bluesy (is that a real word?) sound that I love, it's what made me fall in love with The Black Keys. Idk if the rest of their album will have the same on air success as S.O.B. but it is just as good if not better, and because of that the song of the day for May 9th is "Howling At Nothing" by Nathaniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats off their 2015 self titled debut album. Song of the day for May 6th is whatever the new JT is. Haven't heard it yet, just saw on twitter that he dropped some new music and that it may or may not be over rated. I'm looking it up as I write this blog so we are going to be in this together! Unless you've already heard it then you're outta luck and don't get to experience this moment with us. Idk if you can tell or not by previous songs of the day but I don't really keep up to date with current music that well anymore, that's the first thing that has really passed me by in my advanced age of 24. 75% of the music I listen to is at least 3 years old which in music years is decades. Still looking for the new Justin Timberlake, don't even know the name of the song. Found it. It's called "Can't Stop The Feeling" so far it's okay I guess. Nothing like his comeback summer of 2013. Anyways here is the song of the day for May 6th "Can't Stop The Feeling" And don't forget that Sunday is Mother's Day!!! This week's sports #tbt is a rather long one, the Bruins game 7 comeback against the Maple Leafs in 2013, so if you just skip around the video that's cool by me. It sucks because I used to be so into the Bruins and hockey but after that season (2012-2013) when they traded away Sequin I was pissed at the franchise, the next season they won the Presidents Trophy but got knocked out in the 2nd round and haven't been in the playoffs since. Traded away Dougie Hamilton too another promising young player. Even when I was really into hockey I didn't understand all the internal shit like I do with the other sports and so there may be other reasons, I just think it's stupid to trade away two young players in the infancy of their careers. Now look at the Bruins, they're a fucking joke. But in the strike-shortened season of 2012-2013, which was really just the 2013 season because it started in January the Bruins were awesome. In the playoffs they were matched up against the Maple Leafs and had a 3-1 series lead, after losing two straight it was tied at 3-3 going into the Garden for game 7. I remember it very well, I was watching the game at my friends house and the Bruins looked awful, they went down by 3 goals in the 3rd period and it looked like their season was over. Then this happened. After this win in game 7 the Bruins were on fire, which people forget because of how they blew it in the Stanley Cup but this was an awesome playoff run. Beat the Rangers in 5 games in the 2nd round, they swept the heavily favored (I think, at least they should have been on paper and by seeding) Penguins, to win the Eastern Conference. They had a 10-3 run in the playoffs to go up 2-1 against the Blackhawks in the Stanley Cup before they lost 3 straight in heartbreaking fashion including game 6 when they were leading by a goal in the final minute and ended up losing in regulation.
It sucks because even though the Blackhawks were better the Bruins should have won the Cup, they had a 2 goal lead in game 1 and lost in 3OT, then in game 4 they scored 5 goals but still lost, and of course game 6. But that magical run to the Stanley Cup Finals doesn't happen without this awesome comeback in game 7 against the Leafs. I miss this Bruins team and how fun it was to watch. A few of the guys are still around but two straight seasons of missing the playoffs and no team identity makes it seem like it's going to be years before this team is a contender. #MakeTheBruinsGreatAgain.
As an overweight dude I can attest to this better than anybody. It's my own fault I got to 376 pounds at my highest. Sure there were a lot of factors in my life that led to my weight gain but at the end of the day it was my own fault, nobody else, I could have done more to avoid the situation. Then one day I had had enough, I was a disgusting human being and decided no more. I wasn't going to live like this anymore. And I'm just some 24 year old loser, not a multi-millionaire athlete with all the resources in the world. I live in my dad's fucking basement and had enough pride to say I'm better than this and don't need to live this way anymore. Pablo Sandoval on the other hand is a fat, lazy piece of shit who conned the Red Sox into a 95 million dollar guaranteed contract. He was awful with the Red Sox in 2015, he was statically one of the worst 3rd basemen in all of baseball. Yet he didn't have the pride to work hard in the off season to bounce back in 2016. Everybody ripped Hanley Ramirez too last year but at least he has put in the effort to be a productive major league baseball player in 2016. Pablo has always been a fat baseball player but in Boston it has gotten worse. Pablo Sandoval does not care about anything except eating and spending money. He has the two things most pro athletes dream about, success and money. He won 3 World Series in his time with the San Francisco Giants, and currently has a 95 million dollar contract with the Red Sox. Now that he has both the dude just doesn't care. If he did he wouldn't have shown up to Spring Training looking like this.
For a short period of time he was one of better young exciting players in the game, then he got a little money and a few rings and that didn't matter anymore. He got complacent with what he had already achieved and didn't wanna get any better.
Sport reporters used to be tough and ask hard hitting questions. Now most of the media is soft and doesn't wanna hurt anybodies feelings. Fuck that. That isn't how life works, and all these PC losers are ruining this country. Pablo Sandoval deserves all the blame in the world, a team invested 95 million dollars in him and he returned in that investment by just getting fatter everyday and not putting in the work that a pro athlete is supposed to put in. Some said he was being "fat shamed" which makes my blood boil. People should be fat shamed. Being wicked overweight is not okay and it's not empowering. It's disgusting and is taking years off your life. I hate when you see fat cows saying they're happy as a fat people. You shouldn't be. You're gross. People should be fat shamed. I'm embarrassed I go to the size I was, I'm still big but have lost nearly 75 lbs this year in efforts to fight it. I hate being fat and have tried to fit it. Just because some people have given up doesn't mean we should accept that and say it's over because it's not. It is not okay to be 300 pounds and honestly nobody really should be unless you're like 7 feet tall or an NFL linemen. Pablo Sandoval doesn't deserve anybodies empathy. He may have a problem but guess what, everybody on earth has problems. He should have to deal with them like a man and not get coddled for essentially being a thief after what he's done to the Red Sox. P.S. since he's down for 2016 this is officially the only highlight for 2016 Pablo Sandoval.
Song of the Day for May 3rd is "Lyin Eyes" by the Eagles. Really old choice for DOL song of the day, maybe the oldest yet. I really like the Eagles they have countless great songs and the best harmonies, maybe the best vocal band in rock history. I've been on a huge Eagles kick lately. I do this all the time, I'll get really into an old band for like 3 weeks. So far recently I've had phases with the Beach Boys, Huey Lewis and the News, and the Beatles this year and now my latest older music binge has been the Eagles. It was inspired by this show Documentary Now. I've been watching Documentary Now on Netflix, it's a series staring Bill Hader and Fred Armisen that parodies famous documentaries (hilarious show, highly recommend it). They have two-episode parody of the Eagles with their own soft rock band called the blue jean committee that makes fun of the history of the Eagles, it's absolutely hilarious, especially after learning more about the real band. After I finished the series I started to try to watch the original documentaries they parodied, found "The History of the Eagles" on Netflix, watched it and have been hooked on the Eagles for like a week now. I had always know their really big hits like Hotel California or Take it Easy but didn't know their catalog that well, in fact because they have multiple singers there were many songs I've heard on classic rock stations that I enjoyed that I didn't even realize was them. The actual documentary is very good as well, learned a ton about the music industry, their history and a lot about the inspiration for many of their songs, as a big music and history guy it was a perfect documentary for ole dozo. With all that being said, here is today's song of the day. "Lyin Eyes" by The Eagles from their 1975 album "Take it Easy". RIP Glenn Frey
