You just read my blog about Cam Newton's return to Carolina and while I undoubtedly was waving my hashtag good guy flag (JK, we don't wave flags like lunatics, we simply verbalize the word hashtag) genuinely wishing Cam Newton well, now I almost want to take it back with how much of a cry-baby bitch Panthers defensive player Brian Burns is about the whole Mac Jones situation. God, I love a good ole fashioned one-sentence paragraph.
ICYMI, on Monday, I wrote about Mac's attempt to stop a defender from scooping and scoring. Last night, Burns essentially begged for an apology, then implied he hopes fellow pass-rushers take out his frustrations on the rookie QB.
It's frankly disgusting and appalling! We all know football is a violent game, but there's no place for wishing injury upon an opponent. Like what are we doing here? YOU turned to spin out of Mac's grasp, which led to an injury that was sooooo severe that you returned to the game like a series later. Plus, if you have to ask for an apology, doesn't that kind of defeat the purpose?
When asked about a potential apology, Mac gave a textbook Patriot answer. What should he apologize for, not letting him recover the fumble???
Now because I'm a hashtag good guy I'm not going to rescind my well wished to Mr. Cameron Jerrell Newton, but this story needs to go away worse than MTG.
P.S.
This video is like 34p, but brings up some valid points!
