Major League Baseball playoffs begin tonight with the most historic rivalry in American sports: Yankees @ Red Sox, 8 pm, ESPN. The Sox won the season series 10-9 but are 3-9 in their last 12 vs. the Yanks, including a three-game sweep at Fenway September 24-26. The Yankees have won 6 straight vs. the Red Sox, but you can throw all that out in a one-game playoff! At least these teams both finished with 92 wins. It's absolute horse-shit the 106 win Dodgers have to play the 90 win Cardinals in a one-gamer.
What cannot get thrown away is the massive success of the game show about a game show, #DozVsTheDozen. We had upwards of three people tune in Thursday to my comeback for the ages, scoring 13 points to beat the Experts and the Undesirables. Tonight we've got Smockin T.C. vs. fan favorites Chicago in Match 143 (history will remember this as the "I love you" match). I am a huuuge fan of the Barstool Chicago guys. I watch/listen to every snake draft and even got to enjoy a couple of great tasting, less filling Miller Lites with Carl this summer, BUT, to show my professionalism, I have to set the line at Smockin -3.5.
