Tony Hawk Giving Kid Cudi Skateboarding Lessons is the Most Adorable Video You'll See Today10/11/2022
This isn't exactly the most profound take I've had in 7+ calendar years of blogging, but being rich and famous must be so fucking sick. Sure, you'll hear celebs complain about the lack of anonymity. "Wahhh, I can't go get a coffee without people who love me trying to talk to me for 30 seconds of their pathetic life." That must be a real pain in the ass, but the perks have to outweigh the downfalls....for example...
Today, Kid Cudi dropped a video of him skating for the first time in 17 years with the help of this dude TONY HAWK. You know, the greatest skateboarder of all time?
Imagine being like, "I need learn how to sink some free throws so my kids won't laugh at me," and Michael Jordan was like, "Son, I think I could help," or maybe you want to learn how to play piano to impress your spouse for your upcoming 35th anniversary and Sir Elton John came out of a rainbow rocket ship and showed you how to tickle the ivories? That's basically what Scott Mescudi got to experience here with Anthony Frank Hawk. Yeah, I'd trade that for being able to go into Stop & Shop without people taking pictures.
As someone who's always had an appreciation for skating but could never get past a standing still-holding-the-fence ollie (even at four bills, I can still ride like Rodney Mullen), I commend Cudi for getting out there and risking severe injury at 38 years young with the Birdman. He's gotta get a better stance to balance out his body weight, but I'm sure Tony's got all the pointers covered.
It's cliche AF, but it really is never too late to learn something new. Sure, we can't all get lessons from a GOAT, but this is a beautiful sight. Just two legends out here vibin' and ridin'. I love them both. It'd be pretty bad ass if Kid Cudi started doing kickflips and ollieing eight-sets with 40 around the corner.
With all the bull shit garbage content available with like 297 streaming services, someone's gotta make this is a show. I'd so watch 8-12 episodes of Tony Hawk teaching Kid Cudi and/or other celebrities how to skate. Fuck man, that's such a good idea. Will someone (Barstool Sport) please #HireDozo already!!!
