There is so much uncertainty going on nowadays; its terrifying. It seems like life is going to getting back to normal, but should we be? I honestly don't know. I go back and forth with the breeze about what is real and what isn't during all of this. It's way above my brain-scale and independent research abilities since I am more of a one hit wonder and Gilded Age kind of guy. Science ain't really in my bag. I just don't want to be the reason anybody gets sick and dies. Hashtag good guy. Yes, I have self-diagnosed myself as rona-free so that brings some relief, but there is so much fear and misinformation going on that life really feels a little 1984y right now. I just want to be free and live life. Maybe try on some happiness for size?
Some people are so beloved that they can trespass during C and get a hero's welcome. Some people like the Birdman himself, Tony Hawk. Tony already checked his privilege at the door so we don't need to go down that fun rabbit hole!!
I get it times are scary right now. But it's great to see people united and happy over skateboarding and Tony Hawk. This is the face of his sport just dropping by the shred. Imagine if Michael Jordan starting dunking on the hoop at the end of your drive way or the ghost of Babe Ruth tried asked you to retrieve his baseball out of your yard? This is one of the coolest things I've ever seen.
Between the overwhelming love and excitement his video game news received two weeks ago, to random social media exchanges over the years..
..to this heart-touching reaction you'll see again (assuming you watched the clip) in like 26 seconds. I honestly think Tony is one of the most beloved figures in America by people under 40. Who doesn't fuck with Tony Hawk? Tony Hawk is the great equalizer. Rich people love Tony Hawk. Poor people love Tony Hawk. White people love Tony Hawk. Gangstas love Tony Hawk.
Do gangstas love Tony Hawk?
They do! Everybody loves Tony Hawk!!
Life might be wild right now, but there's still little stories out there showing how good society can be with a little love and respect. I can only begin to imagine how pissed people would be getting had this been Tony Woodpecker or Tomás Hawk shredding their pool during a Pandemic, but here Tony Hawk shows the good side of privilege... For at least a little while, by simply doing what he loves to do, Tony brought joy and happiness to some random people's faces. Isn't that what this whole life thing should be about?
